The Easter mini-vacation kicks off the summer season on the local seaside this year , with several hundred tourists expected in the Black Sea resorts between April 14 and 17. Dozens of accommodation units will be open during the Easter holidays, with hoteliers preparing themed packages for Easter, announces Litoralulromanesc.ro , the largest Romanian tour operator in the Black Sea vacation segment , and rates start at 123 lei/night/double room for those who choose only accommodation.

On Easter, on the local coast , several dozen hotels will be open, especially those with SPA centers and relaxation areas, most of which are located in the resorts of Mamaia and Eforie Nord. Hoteliers have prepared special packages for the holidays, which include traditional Easter meals, with red eggs, cozonac, lamb dishes, proțap, etc., as well as activities for children (egg hunts) and entertainment for adults ( live music ). "Traditionally, May 1st is the date when the summer season starts on the Romanian seaside. But, year after year, we notice that more and more Romanians choose the Black Sea to go on their Easter mini-vacation, although the seaside is not the main destination for tourists for the Easter holidays. However, we can say that this mini-vacation will be the <<training>> for the extended weekend of May 1st, which, in 2023, is two weeks after Easter" , says Ionuț Nedea, CEO Litoralulromanesc.ro.
Accommodation rates start from 123 lei per night for two adults, price valid for a three-star villa in Eforie Nord. Tourists looking for complex packages, which include several services, must pay from 455 lei for a double room per night at a three-star hotel in Mamaia, a price that covers accommodation with half board (breakfast and dinner), the festive meal of Easter, access to outdoor pool with heated water, artistic program for adults and children. Also at three stars in the Mamaia resort, an all inclusive package costs 576 lei/night/double room.
In Eforie Nord, at a three-star hotel, a night's accommodation with breakfast included costs 262 lei for two people, and in Mamaia, at a four-star hotel, a double room costs from 273 lei per night, accommodation with breakfast included.
Compared to last year, in the case of some hotels, the rates for the Easter mini-holiday are even 10% lower, but there are also accommodation units, especially those that offer complex services, that have increased prices.
"Reservations for Easter have already started, but we expect most of them to come approximately two weeks before the holidays, especially if the weather forecast indicates nice weather for the country's coastal area. What is obvious is the much higher interest of Romanians for seaside stays during Easter compared to last year. It should be noted that, in general, tourists who choose the seaside during this period are mostly families with children - many hotels have prepared programs for the little ones - and who come from localities located a maximum of 3-4 hours by car from the destination" , adds Ionuț Nedea.
Not only hotels, but also bars, restaurants and clubs will be open in mid-April, when Easter is celebrated. Officially, the Easter holiday has four days and is between April 14 (Good Friday) and April 17 (the day after Easter Sunday).
