The Dobrogea - Coastal Water Basin Administration through the Constanța Water Management System has started the activities of preparing the beach sectors for the 2024 summer season. The works are underway, and the authorities estimate that they will be completed by the start of the summer season.
At this moment, the teams from Romanian Waters started:
- Cleaning and waste collection: Our crews carry out clean-up and litter collection operations from the beach to ensure a clean and safe environment for tourists and protect the marine ecosystem.

- Leveling and sand removal: The leveling and removal of sand accumulated at the base of the protective fences or at the western boundary of the beaches is essential to ensure an even and accessible ground for visitors.
- Dismantling and evacuation of protective fences: The protective fences installed in 2023 are dismantled and evacuated to facilitate the access of tourists to the beach and to ensure a pleasant experience throughout the summer season.
- Manual and mechanized greening: Our crews carry out both manual and mechanized sand surface greening work to remove debris and contaminants that could affect the surrounding environment.
- Shoreline cleaning and leveling: Work is being carried out to clean and level it and remove deposited shell material from the shoreline to keep the beaches in optimal condition.
In addition, in order to ensure safety on the beach, until beginning of the summer season (01.05.2024) warning boards will be installed in the vicinity of the hydrotechnical constructions under administration, as well as beacons signaling submerged constructions.
